Marta Ferraris

is an Italian dancer, teacher, and author based in Berlin.
With a diverse background in Ballet (Accademia Teatro alla Scala), Oriental dance (Persepolis Company), Contemporary Dance (DEOS Company), Movement Research (Tanz Fabrik), and Circus Arts;


Marta's practice delves into deconstructions of aesthetic body ideals in dance. Promoting inner creative empowerment she creates a dance practice characterized by dialectical contrasts through a strong use of gestures drawing inspiration from various sources.


Marta's focus is on bridging tradition and innovation while sharing the communicative and therapeutic power of dance.
She collaborates with different collectives, engaging in projects that reclaim urban spaces and analyzing the interlacing possibilities of body languages and arts.

Projekt in progress with the collective CIE Instant
In an urban exploration inspired by the many nuances of the French verb porter, performers interact with found objects, transforming them into tools for dialogue with space and people. They carry physical and symbolic weights, wear stories, convey emotions, and assume different roles, creating a dynamic tapestry of meanings between body, environment, and community.

"Orbique" - the fullness of absence...

A hula hoop performative installation merging circus, dance, and theatre into a live, cross-disciplinary experience. The work unfolds as a reflection on political geometries — the tensions, contrasts, and paradoxes that shape contemporary society. The discreet yet provocative presence of a cat disrupts the order, evoking questions of instinct, control, and the absurd within the human condition.
